About

Why do we do what we do?

We do what we do to raise the collective consciousness and the base frequency of the planet Gaia by assisting anyone suffering from any sort of dis-ease in the mind and body connection. As a veteran, I understand the scars that can be left from serving our nation. It is important that we come together as a “One Consciousness” and help heal one another. It is through the power of love and compassion that we gather for each other in group sessions, retreats, and gatherings that can shift anything and everything including our reality about our own ability to heal ourselves, transcend limiting thoughts, fears, and beliefs that can keep us in states of chaos without even knowing it. During these changing times, we all can rise up and evolve, expand, and transcend any and all limitations.

Calm One, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by former 82nd Airborne Division soldier and yogi, Lindy Romez (Jaya Devi) in 2019. It was originally inspired by the high rate of suicide amongst veterans and the increased awareness of the mental health crisis that exists within all demographics. Calm One offers guided meditations and tools that can help support anyone suffering from any kind of dis-ease in the mind and body complex through the practice of yoga, mindfulness, and sound healing.

In addition, we facilitate live therapeutic relaxation experiences that reduce stress and encourage healing through self-reflection and awareness. We do this by combining the physical & psychological effects of sight, scent, & sound that encourage the natural relaxation response to slow the pulse, release muscular tension, & create a clear, focused state of being that aligns one to their true nature.

With the increased demands of the modern world, the stress that is placed on humanity as a whole is not physically absorbable, and for some, the only way out is to harm themselves or others.

The Calm One name was derived from the military readiness condition (DEFCON 1).  DEFCON is an alert state used by the United States Armed Forces and prescribes five graduated levels of readiness or states of alert for the U.S. military.  It increases in severity from DEFCON 5, (least severe), to DEFCON 1 (most severe).

We are in the highest state of alert with what is happening, not only with Military Veterans committing suicide but what is happening with opioid and drug addiction all around the world and people that are experiencing serious health concerns due to an overstimulated nervous system.

From DEFCON 1, the military’s highest state of alert, to Calm One, the “action plan” to provide tools to assist those struggling with dis-ease in the mind and body connection.

The founders of Calm One are committed to creating material that has been proven to calm the nervous system and heal disharmonies in the mind and body complex. We do this by:

  • Introducing sound frequencies imbedded in relaxing music to aid in restful sleep.

  • Introducing easy meditations that anyone can do.

  • Encouraging the practice of certain breathing exercises that have been proven to calm the mind and balance the energy within the mind and body with daily practice.

  • We encourage physical practices that create space in the body to move vital energy.

Although the sensitivity of this topic is serious and requires all hands on deck, as of now, no single form of therapy has the answer for a cure. Calm One approaches this topic with empathy and understanding, and we stand behind our mission to help promote mental health wellness and support those open for change.

As the severity of this topic has a wide range it is important that if you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of self-harm or suicide, We encourage you to reach out to a mental health professional or a helpline in your country.
